Description
The Trelleborg Performer Ceramic Abrasive Material S&D Hose is designed for the hydraulic suction, discharge and pneumatic conveying of highly abrasive materials in severe-wear industrial applications.
The hose features ceramic tiles containing more than 92% alumina (Al₂O₃) embedded into a black natural rubber inner tube, providing exceptional resistance to abrasion while maintaining significantly greater flexibility than conventional ceramic hoses. Trelleborg states that Performer Ceramic can provide at least 10 times the lifespan of a conventional rubber hose, while being 4 to 5 times more flexible and 30 to 60% lighter than standard ceramic hoses.
Reinforcement is provided by synthetic textile with an embedded steel wire helix, while the black corrugated EPDM outer cover provides resistance to weathering and demanding industrial environments. The hose has a working temperature range of -30°C to +70°C and a maximum vacuum rating of 0.9 bar.
Performer Ceramic is designed for use with Trelleborg BLOC-END® couplings, allowing the hose to be cut to length and coupled on site without specialist cutting equipment. Custom hose lengths can also be supplied to suit the installation.
